Business and Pleasure Holiday Beach Umbrella
This is the beach umbrella that made me go “wow!” the first moment I saw it. I fell in love with the brand’s aesthetic and my beach game is now forever changed. Business and Pleasure offers several beach shade options, and the one featured in this post is their Holiday Beach Umbrella in Pink Crew Stripe.
All beach umbrellas from B&P offer a lightweight shade option, perfect for quick trips to the beach or a lakeside picnic.
The hardware consists of a marine-grade aluminum hinge with nylon fittings to keep your beach umbrella light for carrying to the beach. The umbrella has a fully adjustable pole hinge, with a 180° range of motion and tilt.
The canvas material offers a 98% block out with a UFP rating of 50+, as well as UV-resistant cotton canvas to prevent color fade.

The Premium Beach Umbrella has a heavier canvas material, bigger span, and is sturdier, great if you’re looking for a more luxurious feel, bigger shade, and can be temporarily used for a patio at home.
The Holiday Beach Umbrella is smaller in size than the premium umbrella. The span of the Holiday Beach Umbrella is 5’ W x 6.5’ H, and that of the Premium Beach Umbrella is 6’ W x 7.5′ H. The canvas material on the Holiday Beach Umbrella is an 8oz canvas, and that of the Premium Beach Umbrella is a UV and water-treated 10oz canvas. Overall, the Holiday Beach Umbrella weighs 4lbs, and the Premium Beach Umbrella weighs 8lbs.
Both the umbrellas are designed for temporary use only. When not in use, they should be taken down and stored away.
How to use Business and Pleasure Beach Umbrella
These beach umbrellas take 1-2 minutes to set up, and can be used at the beach or at home.
For sand and soft ground use
Dig a small hole in the sand. Twist the hinge on the umbrella to loosen slightly, so the pole can be straightened, and twist the hinge in the opposite direction to tighten securely. Undo any umbrella strap, and turn it right side up. Push the slider to open the umbrella. Twist the pole into the hole in the sand until the head is buried. Pack it down with sand to secure.
For windy days
Add sand to the bottom of the bag or sand pocket (in Premium Beach Umbrella) to the desired weight. Clip the bag to the umbrella ribs or a pole spring, or just wrap the bag around the pole.
For sunny days
Twist the hinge to the left to loosen tightly, and tilt the umbrella to the desired position.
For patio use
