To all my beautiful ladies who are self-conscious about having a smaller chest, if you don’t think you can rock a swim look this summer, this post is written with you in mind.
I was born with more, but my body changed over the years and now I have a smaller chest (and also uneven on top of that). I loved it then, and I love it now. Not a single thing I would change.
I’ve learned to find flattering swimsuits that look great on my body, small bust and all. So I’m sharing those styles here for those of you who might struggle with the thought that if you don’t have at least C cups, then you can’t rock a swim look.
Some of these styles are universal flattering on any cup size. Some are more flattering on a smaller cup size than others. I have B cups and these are A and B cup-approved swimsuits this summer.

Scoop neck swimsuits with a lower cut for small chest
Scoop necks are always flattering, no matter your cup size. They show off just the right amount of cleavage and they make your neck look longer and more graceful.
If you have a small chest, it’s more forgiving to pick a lower cut than most, like this pink suit. For more support, I suggest a higher neck and wider straps for more coverage, like this one from Beach Riot.
I adore this ribbed pink suit with a lower scoop neck for the most flattering swim style. Also love the belt for an illusion of a cinched waist.
And here are 6 of the best scoop neck swimsuits for a small chest below.
Square Neck Swimsuit For A Small Bust
A square neck is similar to a scoop neck. And a great option for a smaller chest. You can find some square neck types with a ruffle trim or a sweetheart neckline, or both like this one by Peony. And it’s my favorite kind of neckline!
It’s also a good pick if you want to show off your collarbones. Squareneck could be modern and slick, or a bit more feminine with a touch of old-world. Here are my 6 favorites at the moment.
Bandeau swimsuits is One of the Most Flattering Swimsuits on a Small Chest
A bandeau is a personal favorite style of swimsuit. You may find that some bandeau styles are more supportive than others.
For more support, you can look for styles with straps, and/or underwire. Plus these details can help keep the bandeau stay in place and not slide around too much.
If you don’t need support, you can opt-in for strapless styles. Those show off your shoulders and are a beautiful style for summer!
You can also find many fun and flirty styles like ruffles or prints, like the one I’m wearing here with a big ruffle that can be worn many ways. Here are some bandeau styles that I think look great on a small chest.
Check out these 6 bandeau swim styles I love below.
Asymmetrical One-Piece Swimsuit
This one-piece has an asymmetrical neckline that is both unique and flattering. It has a bandeau style on one side, and a scoop neckline on the other side, the best of both worlds.
With a smaller chest, I can really play with asymmetrical styles like this since it’s not the most supportive for a larger chest, but very fun and unique. I also put one-shoulder styles in this asymmetrical category and this type of swimsuit is considered one of best bathing suits for a small chest in my opinion.
The cut-out on one side makes it look like this is half a one-piece, half a bikini, how cute!
These 6 asymmetrical one-shoulder swim styles I’m favoriting.
Plunge Neck Swimsuit Looks Great on a Small Chest
This LBS (little black suit, is that a thing?) has a plunging neckline which is always flattering on any chest size. The ruffle trim gives a subtle feminine detail which I love.
If you don’t want to go too plunging, you can always look for V-necks which have a similar effect.
I think this particular plunge neck style is one of the best bathing suits for a small chest since it’s not the most supportive, but still very flattering.
One fit tip I have is to make sure you get your best fitting size (err on the smaller side) to make sure the plunging neck hugs you tightly. It gives the illusion of some cleavage and also keeps everything in place.
