Faux leather leggings are a wardrobe essential for me, and Amazon has a huge selection to choose from. But with so many options, how can you be sure you’re getting the best quality? In this post, I’m going to compare three different legging styles from Amazon, they range from $20 to $50, all with Prime Shipping. Let’s take a look together!
The 3 faux leather leggings from Amazon
Tagoo stretchy faux leather leggings – $40
These Tagoo Stretchy Faux Leather Leggings Pants are $40 and have almost 12,000 4-star reviews, so I had to try them! They’re actually quite nice in my opinion. There’s a fleece liner on the inside, and the faux leather is shiny and smooth. There’s some compression, not too tight but definitely toning your figure nicely. I’m wearing a Small here for reference.
The one complaint I have about these is the waist seems to fit too loosely on me. It may not be an issue if I wear a sweater over it, or the extra fabric from the camisole is hiding it well here in these pics. But you can see the gap in the back if I’m standing up straight with this cami, or if I wear a very crop top. It’s not a complete deal breaker for me. For $40, I may just deal with the gap. (Or just pay an extra $10 and get the $50 option below for a more perfect fit).
Overall, I would say these are perfect going out leggings, comfortable and a nice fit. 7/10.

Everbellus Womens Faux Leather High Waisted Leggings – $20
These Everbellus Faux Leather Leggings are $20 and have even more reviews. Over 27,000 reviews, and the avg rating is 3.5 stars. I was a little skeptical to get them, but they could be the best $20 ever, so I bought them to try!
First off, out of the bag, there’s a very bad smell. I was able to hold my breath for a short time to try them on! The material is a tad thinner than the Tagoo pair above, but overall, the leather is pretty good and smooth. I’m surprised these leggings have any compression in them, but they hug all the curves quite nicely.
But please look at the photos with me, these leggings were not made for my body haha. They are too long and the waist is very high! Look at the all the extra bunching fabric on the waist line and in front of the hip.
Overall, they’re okay if you’re tall and have a long torso. But won’t work for me and I wouldn’t suggest for any short ladies. For $20, they are a good alternative if you don’t mind the extra bunching fabric, or are planning on wearing oversized sweaters over them. 4/10

Retro Gong Faux Leather Leggings – $50
These Retro Gong Faux Leather Leggings are the priciest of the three with over 8,000 reviews, the avg rating is 4.5 stars. Which is quite promising. And they are actually so amazing in my opinion. They remind me very much of the SPANX faux leather leggings that retail for $98. And they are stretchy and comfortable. The leather on these is not as shiny, so it’s a great option to dress both up and down, for both day and evening looks. And the compression is great.
Compared to the SPANX, they are not as liquid and second-skin stick-to-your-body, but they have some compression, and provide a lot of mobility. In my opinion, too much compression could be uncomfortable at times (for example, when you’re eating dinner). These leggings have just the right amount of hold, not too much.
This pair is a great alternative to the popular SPANX faux leather leggings for a bit less costly. I love them, comfy, stretchy and stylish with the right amount of compression. 9/10!

My personal favorite
If I must pick a favorite from the 3 pairs of Amazon faux leather leggings I tried on today, and you probably already know: It would have to be the Retro Gong Faux Leather Leggings. Yes, I know, they are $50, a little bit more expensive than your typical pair of leggings from Amazon. But I do think they are worth the money, and they fit and look the best of all the 3! They’re half the cost of the SPANX faux leather leggings, but look (and feel) very similar.
I personally prefer the leather to be dull (and not too shiny) so this $50 pair works out. However, the $40 pair (the first pair) is a very nice option if you prefer your leather leggings to be shiny!
Here is a comparison side by side:
So, I know it’s hard to judge leggings (especially compression leggings) based on pictures from a blog post. You really have to try them on yourself to know. But I hope you enjoyed this comparison and that it is helpful for your next Amazon leather leggings purchase. If you have any of these leggings or want to get a pair, let me know what your thoughts are in the comments!
