My husband is an explorer at heart. On days off, we often drive around town sight seeing or looking for cool hidden spots, and that works perfectly with me being a blogger. I just tag along and get to have my photos taken at the prettiest spots in the city. One of the favorite outfits I love wearing for a day out exploring with the hubs has got to be a maxi dress. I just throw a distressed denim jacket over it to dress it down, perfect as a casual day look. And if we happen to go out to dinner that night, bring with me some heels, and a nice sequin clutch and I’m good to go!
This floral maxi dress has all the prettiest details I’ve seen in a maxi dress. If you know me, my style is very feminine, and this dress hits all the right spots. The floral print that is gorgeous for this spring season, the flow of the dress that dances around you every step you take. Then the plunge neck, you guys, and the open back, add just the perfect amount of sexiness. To complement these vibrant and pretty details, I paired it with colorful tassel gold earrings with pearl details. These earrings and this dress were a match made in heaven.
And because the dress is open back, I want to complete the look with a denim jacket. In case the weather decides to surprise me with occasional cool breezes. You may think I’m talking crazy since it’s May now, but if you’re in Colorado, you’d understand how bipolar the weather could be. It was seventy degrees over the weekend and now while I’m typing this, it’s getting ready to snow. So even on a spring day, I still take with me a denim jacket. This distressed number is the perfect one to make this look casual and appropriate for walking around the city.
This past weekend, one of the really cool spots we found was a castle-like white house with the vines hanging on some parts of it. I maybe easily impressed but it looks to me like a house you’d find from Disney movies. So of course I insisted my husband take photos of me on the side of the house. And not too far from that house, we found a public garden. However, I didn’t see much flowers there, it looks like there was work being done about that. But I still really liked the garden house and thought this floral maxi dress totally belonged here in this scene. Don’t you think it’s a photogenic spot? So what is your favorite thing to do on the weekends, and what is your perfect outfit for it?
