Who doesn’t love a beautiful, gorgeous maxi dress that can be worn several ways? Am I right? And by several ways, I mean real different looks of the dress, not “wear it with another top over, or put a cardigan over it” kinda difference! If you count those looks too, this dress would create 20-30 looks! No kidding!
The amazing dress in discussion is this Tricks of the Trade Maxi Dress. The exciting part of the dress is the “two, 76 inch long lengths of fabric sprouting from an elastic waistband and wrapping into a multitude of bodice styles including halter, one-shoulder, cross-front, strapless, and more. Stretchy, latte brown jersey knit hugs your curves as you discover new ways to play with this fascinating frock.” I have worn it on several occasions, and am so excited to finally bring to you this round-up post of my 4 most favorite looks, also the 4 looks I got the most compliments on!
Look #1
I wore this to our anniversary dinner date a couple weeks ago. I got a couple of compliments at the restaurant, and I felt like it was such an elegant look.
Pair it with a statement necklace and red lipstick for a bold look.

This is another look for something different! Check out the back! (Also, the rock stud sandals in this look are $21!!!)

Look #3
Please excuse the wind in this look. I had to take pictures right in the middle of the high way, cuz why not 😀 Hehe, the road was actually closed for constructions, but was on a hill that looked down to the mountains, so Dylan thought it’d be cool to stop here and take pictures! So now you know how the dress would look in strong winds! 😛 This also has a super cool back!

Look #4
The front of this look is probably the most obvious thing to do, so I thought I’d tie the back a little different! I got compliments wearing this look as well! Not that I didn’t get them wearing the other looks. But this time, the cashier at the gas station told me I looked like Lucy Liu, and instead of telling me to sign the receipt, he asked for a Lucy Liu autograph. Hope he didn’t get disappointed when my signature didn’t look like Lucy Liu LOL ?
This dress is versatile because you can wear the front several ways, then you can wear the back several ways. So for example, with just one “halter” look, you could still have like 3-4 ways to style the back. It did take me some time at first to learn these “tricks of the trade”, but once you get a hang of how the dress works, you will love it! It’s very soft and comfy, I told Dylan I felt like I was wearing a snuggie! But besides from getting to cuddle with this snuggie, you also look like the prettiest, most elegant princess on the planet, which usually don’t happen at the same time! 🙂
That’s all for now. Thank you so much for stopping by, I’ll talk to you soon! 🙂

This dress looks absolutely STUNNING on you!! When you thought you looked the most elegant in the room it was because you were! I tried to pick a favorite look, but I actually couldn’t because I liked all of them! They are all so cute in different ways.

I love how you styled the dress! I’m wearing the dress as a bridesmaid in a few months, and was wondering what you did for a bra! I cannot figure out what would be the best plan of attack on this one.
Thanks!

Hi Jane, how exciting! This dress would be perfect as a bridesmaid dress. I actually used the paddings that come with swim suit as paddings for this dress. But if you don’t have extra paddings, you can also use sticky cup bras that stick on your skin, like this one: https://rstyle.me/n/c2rii5b5fsf or this one https://rstyle.me/n/c2rik4b5fsf. Hope that helps!
