*I was gifted some of these products to try and review. But not everything I’m gifted makes this list, so obvi this is my honest opinion. I would tell my sister the same things I’m writing here.
New season, new favorites. I’ve used these products for weeks now, some for months. And I’ve been dying to do this round up to share with you guys. Here are the 5 skin and makeup products you’ll be missing out this Spring if you’re not trying.
1. L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara ($9.99)
I’m pretty sure this mascara is going to be on my favorite list of ALL time, not just spring time. Why haven’t I found this mascara sooner in my life? It answers my prayers. Prayers for longer, thicker, voluminous defined lashes, minus the clumps. And this is a drugstore brand, so it’s a third of a price of the other mascaras I thought were good. More expensive doesn’t always mean better!
2. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup Foundation with SPF 20 ($8.99)
This Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup Foundation is now my favorite drug store brand foundation, and my shade is 40 Nude. The formula is beautiful, it gives you a radiant finish. But it also has shine control, so don’t worry if you’re on the oily side. I use another expensive luxury brand foundation, and this looks the same (actually better) but costs only a quarter of the price. Another great thing is it has SPF 20. Sun protection is very important girl!
3. Algenist GENIUS Liquid Collagen ($115)
Now this skin serum is basically liquid gold. They promise visible skin transformation in 10 days, I didn’t need the whole 10 days to see firmer smoother skin. I said this in my IG Stories and IG post, but just to re-iterate, I’ll repeat myself. “Trong uống, ngoài thoa”, as my mom always says. If you want good skin, eat good skin foods to glow from the inside, AND use good skin products to also shine on the outside! I’m already taking collagen pills for hair/skin/nails, but to maximize the effects, you cannot ignore putting the collagen on your face as well.
4. Pamela Metamorphosis Green Tea Moisturizer ($52)
I live in Colorado, one of the driest places on earth! (Okay, I made that up, Idk how dry Colorado is compared to the earth in general. But it must be on the top list, because my skin suffers). When a local Denver skincare company called Pamela Metamorphosis contacted me to send their products, I instantly bonded to this company. Who else would understand my skin struggles better than my girlfriends in Denver? This green tea moisturizer doesn’t disappoint! It smells lovely, it doesn’t feel heavy yet hydrates well. Don’t worry you can still get it too if you live in a totally different state, plus it’s free shipping on all orders!
5. OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Eye Cream ($38)
I have used OLEHENRIKSEN’s other vitamin C Truth Serum before, which is also an amazing serum for all over face. But this Banana Bright Eye Cream really is where it’s at. Coming from a mom who doesn’t get to sleep longer than a stretch of 5 hours (maybe 6 hours on a good night), you know it’s no joke. This brightens your under eye areas, and helps you wear concealer better. As the eye cream’s description says, wake up before you makeup!
That’s all the favorites I have for you today. I have several more, but I either need to test the products a bit longer, or they don’t fit into the beauty product category. So there will be another post later for that. Have you tried any of the 5 products above? If your answer is no, I urge you to pick up at least one thing above and see for yourself!
